  • Pirr is an app designed to ignite your imagination and bring love stories to life, crafted uniquely for you with the help of advanced AI. Whether you're dreaming of slow-burning romance, heart-fluttering moments, or epic love stories, Pirr lets you shape every chapter to match your desires.

    We use technology to adapt the story to your choices – not to replace authors.

  • Pirr is for romance readers who want a more personal experience than a static book, fan fiction writers and readers, fans of interactive fiction, and first-time writers who have a story inside them but never knew where to start. No writing experience is needed.

  • Yes. Pirr is one of the easiest ways to start creating stories. There's no setup, no learning curve, and no blank page: pick a vibe, characters, and genre, and you're inside your first story within a minute. If you can read a book, you can create on Pirr.

  • Simply download the app from your preferred mobile store, and you can dive into the world of personalized storytelling in just a few minutes or try our web browser version (beta), which makes accessing Pirr even more convenient.

  • Our platform is designed to put creative control in your hands. You have the flexibility to customize characters in your stories, including choosing their names, pronouns, and crafting unique storylines to make each story deeply personal and engaging. Beyond character customization, you're also encouraged to shape the narrative atmosphere by creating your own tags or vibes. Whether you're aiming for a specific genre or theme, setting, or mood, you have the freedom to tailor your stories in any way that resonates with you, provided it adheres to our content guidelines and Code of Conduct.

  • Pirr’s AI is like a storytelling companion, shaping each tale to match your deepest desires. It draws from a rich tapestry of literature, crafting storylines that flow naturally with your inputs and preferences. Every continuation feels personal, as if the story truly belongs to you.

    At the heart of it all are advanced AI techniques - think of them as the magic behind the words. These smart systems understand context, tone, and emotion, allowing Pirr to weave narratives that feel alive, immersive, and uniquely yours.

  • Those are tools for working writers drafting manuscripts. Pirr is for everyone: much easier to get started with, no writing experience needed, no blank page, and the experience is enjoyable in itself. Pirr specialises in romance and fan fiction, and your stories stay private (if you want) and are fully owned by you.

  • No. Pirr doesn't generate a story in one shot, instead stories unfold line by line and respond to your choices, with pacing, emotion, and literary quality. It's a storytelling experience, not a text generator.

  • Pirr offers a free tier, a premium subscription, and top-ups available to both free and subscribed users.

  • Pirr is available on iOS, Android, and the web.

  • Pirr is a Swedish, women-led company started in 2020 by Anna Wallander (CEO), Beatrice Bushati (COO), and Rebecca Oskarsson (CTO).

Stories

  • To edit your text, open an existing story or start a new one by entering Create mode (tap the + at the bottom of the menu). Then tap directly in the story text where you want to make changes, update it, and tap Save in the top-right corner when you’re done.

  • To invite someone to co-create, start by launching a new story: simply tap the "+" icon at the bottom of your screen. Next, look for the "add user" icon in the top right corner and tap it. Then, select the "Share link" option to copy the invitation link. Now, you're all set to send this link to a fellow creator.

  • Story export is coming soon. Your ownership isn't waiting on it: the stories are yours today, and export will simply make it easier to take them elsewhere.

  • Privacy control is straightforward. All of the stories you create remain private until you decide to publish them yourself.

  • In Create mode, tap "..." at the top right to access a menu, then choose "Mark as finished" and opt to publish.

  • Ensure your story meets these criteria: at least 10 snippets, has a title, adheres to the Code of Conduct.

  • Choose your genre, vibe, characters, orientation and locations to shape your story just the way you like it. Want something even more unique? Add your own choices at any step and watch your story come to life. Experiment to find the perfect mix that speaks to your desires!

  • Our AI can take creative liberties, leading to unexpected directions. Embrace its limitless creativity. If AI suggests unpleasant options, report them by clicking "..." at the suggestion's bottom right to help us improve.

  • Yes! You can edit your story after marking it as finished - just access the editing option from the menu to make any changes. However, once your story is published, it’s final and can’t be changed. So be sure to review, refine, and perfect it before hitting publish!

Account Management

  • For a swift account deletion, head to the app, tap on your Account Avatar > "Edit profile" and "Tap here" in 'To close your account and permanently delete all data tap here'. Please be aware, that this action is irreversible and will erase all associated data.

  • Adjust your notification settings via the menu, accessed by clicking your profile icon.

  • Go to “Edit Profile” through your profile icon to update your username

  • Go to “Edit Profile” via your profile icon to secure your account with a new password.

Running the App

  • While a direct feature for tracking total readers and likes isn't currently available, it's something we're working on adding to offer better insight into your story's reach.

  • Absotely, fan fiction writers are at home on Pirr. Shape stories in the style of the fandoms and tropes you love, with a co-author that never leaves you facing a blank page. Your stories stay private until you choose to share them.

  • You need to be 18 or older to unleash your creativity with a spicy romance. Simply navigate to Advanced Settings by clicking on your profile icon at the top right corner of the app, and then activate NSFW mode. This will unlock the ability to explore and write narratives with mature themes. Please note that your story still needs to adhere to our content guidelines and Code of Conduct.

  • Story generation should be quick. If it's slow, check your internet connection or try restarting the app. Persistent issues might stem from temporary server overloads.

  • If the app stalls at startup, try restarting it, checking for updates, or ensuring a stable internet connection. For further assistance, let us know your device type and app version.

  • Type anything in the "I'll write" field to prompt new AI-generated suggestions. Sometimes this can help with faster responses when creating a story.

  • A quick fix for sign-up issues is to restart the app. This resets the session, usually resolving the problem. We're working to fix this bug permanently.

  • Our content policy is aligned with community standards and legal requirements, details allowed, and restricted themes. For specifics, please consult the Pirr Code of Conduct.

  • Yes. Name your characters, choose their pronouns, set the genre, the vibe, the location, and the plot. Then steer the story as it unfolds. No two stories are the same.

Copyright & Content Policy

  • Yes. Your stories are yours. Pirr never takes ownership of your work.

    You can publish, export, share or sell your stories however you choose. We only ask for a limited licence to host your stories while they're on Pirr, and we will never use them to train our generative AI unless you explicitly opt in.

  • To keep Pirr a safe and enjoyable space, our content guidelines help ensure stories align with our platform’s values. Our system focuses on context rather than specific words, so if something is restricted, it’s to maintain a balance between creative freedom and community safety. We’re continuously refining our filters to better support your storytelling.

  • Our content policy, designed to respect legal guidelines and promote a safe environment, remains in place.
